The producers of the award winning film THROAT SONG are holding OPEN CALL auditions for THE GRIZZLIES, a new feature film based on the inspiring true story of a group of Inuit students in a struggling Arctic community, whose lives are changed by the transformative power of team sports.
They are scouting Canada’s North (NWT, Nunavut, Nunavik) for Inuit boys and girls to play lead roles in the movie, which will begin shooting in Iqaluit, Nunavut in April 2016.

Clyde River filmmaker Mike Jaypoody's award-winning documentary, TONY: BACK FROM THE BRINK from Piksuk Media Inc is scheduled to be broadcast in the "Absolutely Canadian" slot on CBC Television on Saturday 23 January.

The International Sami Film Institute and Nunavut Film Development Corporation are looking for indigenous filmmakers from the arctic region for a film workshop, Arctic Film Circle. The workshop is taking place in connection with the imagineNATIVE film + media arts festival in Toronto, Canada 12th-14th of October 2015.

The aim of Arctic Film Circle is to establish an arctic film alliance with filmmakers from the arctic circumpolar area.
