Stories From Our Land 2.0: A Short Film Initiative
The National Film Board and Nunavut Film Development Corporation is pleased to announce-Stories From Our Land 2.0: A Short Film Initiative
After the success of "Stories From Our Land" Iqaluit Workshop last year and "Stories From Our Land 1.5: Stories without Words"- a short film program where six Nunavut filmmakers made 5 minute films without interviews or narration, we're creating a new short film program for emerging Nunavut filmmakers. "Stories From Our Land 2.0" will allow participants to create a documentary story up to 10 minutes in length.
"Stories From Our Land 2.0" will require you to submit a proposal and a shooting plan. If your idea is chosen, you'll work with a National Film Board producer and a mentor on the story, the scheduling, the shoot and the edit. We'll fund the entire film and you, as the filmmaker, will be paid a minimum of $5,000 for writing and directing the film.
The deadlines for proposals is Friday, July 29th, 2011
Proposals must be submitted to David Christensen at the National Film Board by email to firstname.lastname@example.org.
